
Gibby Andry graduated from Tulane University in 1986 and Tulane Law School in 1989. While attending law school, Gibby successfully argued on to Moot Court Board where he served as an Associate Justice. Gibby also studied at Cambridge University. Later, Gibby served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Tulane where he taught trial advocacy for sixteen years.
As an attorney, Gibby received national acclaim when he led the landmark fight to force the makers of marine generators to post warnings detailing the dangers of fumes emitted by the equipment. He has thirty plus years of experience successfully handling cases involving business litigation, products liability, toxic torts, admiralty, car accidents, as well as bad faith insurance prosecutions. The types of injuries suffered by Gibby’s clients include loss of arms and legs, burns, paraplegia, severe spine injuries and broken bones. Martindale Hubble, the national authority of his profession, has given Gibby its highest rating.

In Plaquemines Parish, Gibby served as an Assistant District Attorney from 1999 through 2009. As a prosecutor, Gibby represented the Plaquemines Parish School Board for ten years. Gibby also handled every appeal, post-conviction relief and habeas corpus case during this time, and occasionally handled felony dockets in both divisions of court as well as misdemeanors in Division B.
Gibby was an Adjunct Professor at Tulane Law School for (16) sixteen years where he taught 3rd year law students how to prepare and present a case to a jury.
Outside of law, Andry was a founding member of the Plaquemines Association of Business and Industry, as well as a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the 34th Judicial District Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, the Louisiana District Attorney’s Association, the American Association of Justice, the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Private Aviators.
Gibby is the proud father of five adult children, Gilly, Nina, Sophie, Isaac, and Ian. He has been a private pilot for over twenty years and practiced as a First Degree Blackbelt in Taekwondo.
