No. 107-429, “D”, 34th Judicial District Court for the Parish of St. Bernard.  State of Louisiana.
A lawsuit for damages for the wrongful death of plaintiffs in a nursing home during Hurricane Katrina.  The jury ruled that there was a breach and rendered a multi-million-dollar award.

Lawrence Ritter, et al. v. ExxonMobil, et al.
No. 103-411 “C”, 34th Judicial District Court for the Parish of St. Bernard, State of Louisiana

A lawsuit against a refinery and independent contractor thereof for personal injuries suffered by plaintiffs for defendants’ negligence. Plaintiff suffered broken bones in his left arm, which was ultimately amputated, a broken leg, injuries to his neck, back and body, and emotional trauma and psychological damages. A jury verdict in excess of $12 million.

Timothy Ashley, et al. v. Apollo Marine Specialties, et al.
No. 2003-4537 “J”(13), Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans, State of Louisiana

A lawsuit for damages plaintiff sustained in a construction, drainage improvement  project, wherein a wall form used to form concrete on the side walls of canals fell on him when the clips and apparatus holding the wall form failed, dropping the load on him, leaving him with paraplegia due to the negligence of the defendants for their failure to warn against the improper use of the clips. Multi-million-dollar result.

An electrical contact case in which plaintiff suffered severe and disfiguring damages to his person as a result of the negligence of the defendants. The jury rendered a multi-million-dollar verdict.

Megan Broussard, et al. v. TRANSOCEAN, et al.,
No. 50-458”A”, 25th Judicial District Court, for the Parish of Plaquemines, State of Louisiana

A lawsuit for damages for the wrongful death of plaintiff’s husband while onboard an offshore vessel who fell and hit his head, sustained a head injury the medics on board the drillship failed to properly diagnose and treat his head injury, and together with a delay in evacuation to proper medical care caused his death.
